Mark May 5 Written By Catherine Harder Fishers of men Jesus calls us to be fishers of men. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. I wanted to illustrate men coming out of the waters of darkness into the hope and life that Jesus offers. Death to life A big theme in Mark is the hardened hearts of the people. I was inspired by the parable of the soils. The thorns and stone represent the bad soil and the flowers represent the fruit coming from a receptive heart. Jesus brings life if we let him change our hearts. Peace! Be still! Just as Jesus calmed the storm with his word and chased the inner storm out of the demon possessed man, Jesus still speaks peace into our lives. These pieces are displayed in the MarkNest virtual art exhibition. Catherine Harder http://katiecreative.ca
